The Implant — A biocompatible titanium post (in the shape of a screw) that Dr Li places into your jawbone. Over time, it fuses and integrates with your bone, replacing your root and becoming part of your dental anatomy.
The Abutment — This piece connects the implant securely.
The Restoration — A custom porcelain crown restores a single missing tooth. For multiple missing teeth, the restoration is a bridge or denture, supported by 2 to 6 dental implants.

Completing a Dental Implant

The steps for getting a dental implant are simple, and we can guide you through the whole process at St Anthony Dental:

The Initial Evaluation — Dr Li provides a thorough examination during which he takes x-rays, digital scans, 3D imaging and photos to plan your personalised treatment.
Guided Implant Placement — Dr Li makes a custom 3D printed surgical guide in his in-house dental lab. The surgical guide allows the implant to be placed with a high degree of precision in its position, angle and depth. This reduces the inaccuracies that can occur with traditional freehand placement.
Osseointegration — We allow the implant time to heal and integrate with your bone, a process that takes around 3 to 6 months.
Restoration Placement — Once your implant is fully healed and fused with your bone, Dr Li places your custom-designed restoration. This would be a porcelain crown for a single tooth, or a bridge or denture to replace multiple missing teeth.
