Originally founded by Dr Robert Aslan, our dental practice is now led by Dr Jason Li. Dr Li is honoured to build on Dr Aslan's legacy by providing comprehensive, modern dental care for busy Five Dock families. Dr Jason Li, BDSc Hons
Dr Jason Li (BDSc Hons) is the principal dentist and proud owner of St Anthony Dental. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with honours at the University of Queensland in 2024, before gaining valuable hands-on experience in Toowoomba, regional Queensland. In June 2026, Dr Li took over St Anthony Dental, bringing fresh energy and a genuine commitment to patient care to the practice.
Growing up with a father who is a GP, Dr Li always knew he wanted a career in healthcare—he just wanted to forge his own path. Dentistry gave him exactly that: a way to make a real, visible difference in people's lives. What he loves most about his work is seeing the positive impact that good oral health care can have on his patients, visit after visit. Dr Li also speaks Mandarin, which helps to open communication with our patients.
Outside the surgery, Dr Li enjoys switching off with a good TV series binge and getting back to nature on camping trips. You might also be surprised to learn he can touch type at over 100 words per minute, a handy skill when you're keeping thorough patient records.
Helen
Practice Manager
Helen brings over 33 years of dental experience to her role as Practice Manager at St Anthony Dental. She completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting at Sydney Dental Hospital in 1993 and has continued building her expertise through ongoing professional development in practice management. From coordinating appointments and managing schedules to following up on lab work and assisting the dentist chair-side, Helen keeps the practice running smoothly every day.
What Helen loves most about her work is the connection she builds with patients. She has a natural gift for putting nervous patients at ease before they head into the clinic, offering a reassuring word and a friendly chat that makes all the difference. After three years at St Anthony Dental, she has become a familiar and welcoming face that patients genuinely look forward to seeing.
Helen stumbled into dentistry straight out of high school when she spotted a dental job listing in the local paper, applied on a whim, and never looked back. Outside the practice, you'll find her walking her dog, tending to her garden, or enjoying music. She also speaks Greek—a fun fact that tends to surprise people when they find out.
Gopina
Dental Assistant
Gopina is a dental assistant at St Anthony Dental, bringing both professional training and a genuine personal connection to the field. Having trained at Ultimo and Sydney Dental Hospital, she understands dentistry from both sides of the chair, as a clinician and as a patient. That firsthand experience shapes the way she cares for every person who walks through our doors.
What Gopina loves most about her role is the people. She values the close-knit culture of the St Anthony Dental team, where staff support one another and work together to create a welcoming experience for patients. That sense of connection carries through in everything she does.
When she's not at work, Gopina enjoys taking time for herself, whether that means relaxing, recharging, or simply enjoying a quiet moment.
